Our client, independent insurance group is seeking an Account Handler to join their Corporate team based in Halifax.<br><br>The role is to manage and build relationships with a portfolio of clients for both their renewal and ongoing insurance needs, including providing technical and general advice. The successful applicant will liaise with Account Executives, deal with queries and negotiate with Insurers to obtain best terms for clients. Will manage the renewal process including information gathering, agreeing renewal strategy with team, production of market presentations, negotiations with insurers and production of the renewal report, as well as have an involvement with new business. The role will also involve day-to-day administration including diary and email management, and producing/checking/issuing documentation to the client.<br><br>Candidates applying for this role must have strong technical experience of Commercial Insurance across all classes of insurance as well as customer service experience. An ability to work under pressure and plan work effectively in order to meet deadlines is essential along with excellent IT skills and negotiation skills.
