Our client was originally formed in 1973 and has been responsible for the training of 1,000’s of hairdressers over the past 34 years.



The team of around 40 staff including Hairdressing Trainers, Skills For Life Tutors, Learner & Employer Engagement Officers, Administrators, Quality Improvement Officers, Managers & Directors, is quite simply, the largest and most experienced team of professionals engaged in the delivery of hairdressing training in Yorkshire.



Purpose of the role -



To identify and recruit employers ensuring full completion of all relevant documentation and agreements. To participate in the recruitment and selection of new learners to the programmes



Main duties/responsibilities -



Carry out marketing and sign-up of new salons ensuring accurate completion of all documents and agreements

Liaise with external organisations e.g. Connexions, to build and maintain relationships and to ensure full cooperation in referral activity

Conduct learner interviews and initial assessment

Match learner information to requirements of employers and set up salon interviews

Maintain good relationships and rapport with existing salons

Facilitate the transfer of learners to alternative salons during the programme as required

Deliver information sessions to learners on the 14-16 programme if required

Provide data to Connexions and management as requested

Attend meetings as requested by the Engagement Manager

Undertake presentations/input at Careers events, schools and conventions

Contribute to general administrative duties including telephone queries, photocopying, collating, correspondence etc.

Effectively plan and coordinate work to achieve personal and/or team targets

Liaise with other staff members to ensure employer engagement issues are identified and addressed

Contribute to the company's quality assurance/improvement measures

Implement all company policies relevant to and within own job role

Contribute to safe working practices ensuring the health and safety of self and others
